Taj is a great spot for Indian food on Long Island. Ordered delivery, food arrived hot and very tasty. Had the chicken Tikka Masala and chicken korma. Had two different styles of naan, and a couple of samosas! Really filled us up well. The only thing I would say is it wasn't the slightest bit spicy. Next time I'll mention to turn up the spice level. Would def order again!

The very best Indian food, and a great atmosphere. If you happen to show on a night with live music, all the better. I love this place.

Went on a Friday evening, advertised live music. Unfortunately there was no music. Sat in the bar area. Service was very good, atmosphere was relaxed. Food was good, had the samosas and Paneer Tikki for appetizers. The samosas were big and delicious, loved the mint sauce. Didn't care for the Paneer, felt it was overcooked. For the main meals we order chicken tikki masala, chicken mango curry and chicken birrani. Everything was very good, thought the birrani came with a sauce, but never got it. Cocktails were good, refreshing, the alchemist and a cucumber drink. Being this was my first time having Indian food, I thought it was good. My dinner companions have had Indian food before and felt it was okay. The staff was very pleasant, felt maybe they were understaffed.

My gf and I were heading out for some Indian food. We were going to a particular restaurant, but we saw TAJ, and decided to go there. We were graciously greeted at the door, and they couldn't have been more hospitable. Looked at the menu and ordered the chicken chilii. It was presented to us beautifully. So good that my fork took away some before a photo was taken. In the photo was our main course: butter chicken and a shrimp rice dish. AGAIN, fantastic!! The servers were very attentive and checking in on us continually. On the way out, we spoke with the host who greeted us, and told him we will be definitely returning

I have moved from the city to Port Jeff a year ago. I frequent local restaurants, but I never tried Indian restaurant since moving out east, until I heard of much talked about restaurant in East Setauket. Taj COI ( crown of India) has awesome Indian food at very reasonable price. I loved everything about this place, from the cozy ambiance to the taste of the authentic food. The service was excellent with attentive and friendly staff. This is the first time I had someone receive me and my 75 years old mother from the south in such pleasant and grandly manner. The handsome host Paris Welcomes with beautiful smile and radiant energy. We were then given a nice tour and an option to pick a table in the Taj lounge or The Beautiful elegant dining area with Beautiful table settings or historic caboose. My mother is hard to impress, but Paras managed to do it within minutes of walking in the restaurant. Once seated in the Beautiful lounge, Paras introduced to Pramod so our experience being with outstanding & impressive cocktails. The music is some of the best music choices. It was so beautiful. My mother and two friends were completely in the happy mood. We started with delicious and beautiful looking Palak Chaat ( we loved it! ) chili potatoes, Lamb chops and the chicken tikka. I have tried chicken at several places, but this came out on the sizzling platter with the amazing steam making the air smell delicious. For the main course, I chose chicken korma with garlic naan. My mother with a picky palette went for the Taj special butter chicken with multi layered laccha paratha that is her new favorite Indian bread. We ordered shrimp, curry, and lamb curry. Each of dish was full of flavors cooked exactly as requested while enjoying the beautiful music the lovely staff making sure we are taken care of. We were so full for any dessert, but once Pramod brought those chocolate espresso martinis A treat from Taj lounge! Made the entire dining experience in grand one. There were other tables yet we received one of our service thank you Paras, Pramod the entire staff at Dodge for making our visit a memorable one. I'm looking forward bringing several of my friends from the city. My mother is in love with Paras in the first meeting so we are definitely coming back with more friends!

Taj is stellar...the food is delicious. We have ordered everything in the menu I think It has all been cooked to perfection, and you can tell they love what they're making. They're always so kind and welcoming, and this place is super clean and fun! We stopped in to wait for our pick up order tonight, and had the most incredible drinks - and such a fun experience! And! Live music starts at 6:30! You have to try it! So so good!

Opened September, 2022, what a beautiful, clean restaurant. Everyone we came in contact with was so nice and friendly, really made you feel welcome. We had to try a little bit of everything. We ordered the Garlic Shrimp, Lamb Chops, Mixed Grill, Chicken Saag, Lamb Curry and Massala Fries. Dish after dish that came out was amazing! The service was also excellent. They have a lunch buffet 7 days a week that we can't wait to try!!
